Cabot’s specialty carbon blacks are used as pigmenting, conductive and UV stabilizing
agents in a variety of common and specialty products, including:

  • Plastics. Widely used in packaging, films, fibers, moldings, pipes and semi-
    conductive cables among others.
  • Toners and printing inks. Used to enhance formulations and offer significant

02.3. Fumed Silica

DCabot’s CAB-O-SIL fumed silica products are mainly used to provide rheology control for liquids and improve the free flow of powders. They also serve as reinforcing fillers in elastomers and dry carriers for liquids, as well as emulsification and suspension agents.

Cabot’s fumed silica range includes the following products:

Due to their versatile nature, CAB-O-SIL και CAB-O-SPERSE are used in various applications, including adhesives, aerosols, animal feeds, specialty and industrial chemicals, liquid and powder coatings, cosmetics, elastomers, fertilizers, foods, inks, insecticides, thermal and electrical insulation, lubricants, pharmaceuticals, plastisols,

02.4. Fumed Alumina

Due to their unique particle characteristics, Cabot’s fumed alumina products deliver outstanding performance benefits based on their crystallinity and high purity. Meeting challenging performance requirements, they enhance different formulation properties, such as hardness and positive charge, and are primarily used to:

  • Improve flow properties of powdered products
  • Provide rheology control for liquids
  • Control thixotropic fluids
  • Reduce caking of powders in storage
  • Prevent waxy products from congealing
